I didn’t want the Donald to die, but I did want him to really, really suffer. Of course, it doesn’t look like that’s happening.
I wanted him to suffer for the 200,000+ souls that he clearly did not care about.
I wanted him to suffer for going on a campaign swing after knowing that Hope Hicks tested positive.
I wanted him to suffer for every time that he contradicted his medical experts and disparaged wearing masks.
I wanted him to suffer for lying to the American people while he was telling the truth to Bob Woodward.
I wanted him to suffer for literally caring more about his ratings than the lives he lost.
I wanted him to suffer for every time he called it the “China virus” instead of the “Trump virus,” which is what it should be called.
I wanted him to suffer for killing Hermann Cain, and not giving a shit.
I wanted him to suffer for misleading Kristin Urquiza’s Dad, causing him to abandon safety, and causing him to lose his life.
I wanted him to suffer for every time he refused to condemn white supremacy and engaged in (barely) dog whistle racism in the middle of a pandemic.
I wanted him to suffer for endangering the lives to the secret service members assigned to protect him.
I wanted him to suffer for endangering the lives of the White House staff, who have to serve him.
I wanted him to suffer for each of his 20,000+ lies to us over the last four years.
I wanted him to suffer for being one of the worst human beings on the face of the planet.
Of course, it doesn’t appear that has happened. The President has received the best medical care that any human being could receive — for free, it must be noted — and seem to have survived (although, as even his own doctors noted, he’s “not out of the woods yet”).
Some people were hoping that the experience might change him. Clearly it has not. In the tweet below the Donald told his followers not be afraid of the virus (despite it having killed more than 210,000 Americans) and told them not to let it “dominate” their lives.
In addition, the Donald promptly tweeted this about the virus, which caused Twitter to take it down for spreading false information:
Compare that to this tweet from Chelsea Clinton, who actually (OMG!) shows concern for the people who have to protect and serve the President.
In a just world, the Donald would definitely have ended up in the ICU. Maybe he’ll still end up there, but I seriously doubt it.
