People are going to miss Obama more than they think

Obama delivered his last State of the Union last night, as most of you know. The general consensus seemed to be that Obama was “taking on Trump” in his speech. That’s also what Michael Cohen opined in the Globe this morning. The New York Times noted that it was a “split screen,” because tomorrow we’ll get the latest in the never ending series of Republican debates.

Regardless.

I don’t think people realize how much they’re going to miss Obama. Because he’s one of the last reasonable men still standing in the political arena. He’s reasoned, and reasonable, and normally unflappable.

People are going to miss him more than they think. Like they now miss Bill Clinton. Whatever happened to that guy anyway?

About a1skeptic

A disturbed citizen and skeptic. I should stop reading the newspaper. Or watching TV. I should turn off NPR and disconnect from the Internet. We’d all be better off.
