If your house is on fire and two elderly firefighters show up — one with a house and the other with a can of gas — it’s not a hard decision who is the man for the job.

This really is the analogy we need to be using for the next year. Are both guys too old to be President? Sure. Probably. Maybe. I don’t really know.
I’ve been saying for years that we should have elected Biden when we elected Obama and we should have elected Obama when we elected Biden. But that’s on us.
However, Trump is only 3½ years younger than Biden, and way more demented. Regardless of any of that, here’s the thing:
- One guy is coming with a fire hose, the other guy is coming with a gas can.
- One guy is coming with a fire hose, the other guy is coming with a gas can.
- One guy is coming with a fire hose, the other guy is coming with a gas can.
One cannot say it often enough.
- One guy is coming with a fire hose, the other guy is coming with a gas can.
- One guy is coming with a fire hose, the other guy is coming with a gas can.
- One guy is coming with a fire hose, the other guy is coming with a gas can.
And half of the country is fine with burning the house down, apparently not recognizing that this would mean that they themselves would be homeless.
That’s what happens when you have a right-wing media ecosystem which tells their listeners every day that the house needs to be burned down.
