By now it’s pretty well known that Donald Trump has a complete hard-on when it comes to Vladimir Putin. My guess here is that he wants to be Vladimir Putin.

It doesn’t seem that the love is being returned. According to recent news accounts, Putin — during an interview with Russian state television — apparently said, in response to a question about whom he would prefer for American President:

Biden. He’s more experienced, more predictable, he’s a politician of the old formation. But we will work with any U.S. leader whom the American people trust.

And Vladimir said this on Valentine’s day, of all days. It seems that the love isn’t being returned.

I don’t think that means that the Russians won’t work behind the scenes to get Trump elected, as he will almost certainly give them a clear path to try to finish their invasion of Ukraine. But, it is interesting that Putin’s public messaging would be such a diss of Trump.
