It‘s kind of comical watching Ted Cruz, John Kasich and the Republican establishment try to stop Donald Trump. I thought both of their attempts were kind of clever:

But it’s all not going to make any difference. The more the Republican establishment tries to stop Donald Trump, the more he’s endorsed by the voters. I think the voters see it as a badge of honor that the Republican establishment hates him.

I don’t think they’re even going to get it to a contested convention. I think he’s going to win this thing outright.

And his populism will definitely be a huge challenge for Hillary Clinton to overcome. The only good news is that Trump keeps sticking his foot in his mouth when it comes to women. Alienating half of your voter base really is not a good political strategy.

This will become a question of who is hated more: Hillary or the Donald? By that time this blog will be in overdrive, and I will barely be coherent. But so it goes.

[1] Kasich kind of screwed up that strategy when he told the media that he wasn’t telling his voters not to vote for him. Oops.

[2] I’m excluding Donald Trump for the moment, who, although also an asshole, is more defined by his extraordinary Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
