You know what makes me completely insane? It makes me completely insane that we’re still having hearings about whether Fani Willis should be disqualified for an alleged conflict of interest.
It’s not a bloody conflict of interest!
A conflict of interest is when a pharmacy benefits association wines and dines public health regulators while they are writing regulations having to do with pharmacy benefit managers.
THAT is a conflict of interest.
A conflict of interest would be if Donald Trump were elected President and then were to halt all prosecutions against him.
THAT would be a conflict of interest.
To believe that Fani Willis engaged in a conflict of interest, you would have to believe that Fani Willis is prosecuting Donald Trump BECAUSE she wanted to throw some work to her boyfriend.
That is, of course, completely absurd.
Fani Willis is prosecuting Trump because he is guilty as sin. I mean, he’s on tape with that droning voice of his, “Fellas, all I need is 11,000 votes. Give me a break!”
THAT is why Trump is being prosecuted.
Was it smart of Fani Willis to hire her boyfriend (or in the alternative to begin a relationship with someone she had hired) to help prosecute Trump?
The question answers itself.
Can we move on already from this absurd double-standard, and get on to the main event? Fani Willis’ poor judgment here has NOTHING to do with Trump’s guilt or innocence.
