Our Commander in Chief cannot distinguish between weather and climate

Our Commander in Chief, Donald John Drumpf, has proven over and over again, that he cannot distinguish between climate and weather.

Most recently he tweeted the following:

In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded. In coming days, expected to get even colder. People can’t last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!

Now this was in reference to the polar vortex that is currently hovering over the Midwest, making parts of the Dakotas, Wisconsin as well as Chicago colder than Antarctica. You know, it’s effing cold out there.

As reported by Vox, Commander Drumpf has tweeted climate change skepticism 115 times. This is, of course, from the guy who claims a natural affinity for science.

NPR recently went through the exercise of explaining why, in the age of expanding polar vortexes, climate change could be partly responsible for why it’s so effing cold outside. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing of Chief Scientist Drumpf were to read the explanation. If, that is, he were to read anything (which he notoriously does not).

People who actually do threat assessments know that climate change is far bigger threat to our national security than poor Mexican immigrants or Central American asylum seekers showing up at our Southern border. Now that might be something worth closing the government for — actually it isn’t, because it would definitely not help with climate preparedness — but it should certainly be a much higher priority than Drumpf’s symbolic border wall.

About a1skeptic

A disturbed citizen and skeptic. I should stop reading the newspaper. Or watching TV. I should turn off NPR and disconnect from the Internet. We’d all be better off.
